The Tip feature allows fans to send a direct one-time monetary support to any creator — no product purchase required. Support is available in two ways: EUR via Stripe and OLcoin via wallet.
How Support Works (EUR + OLcoin)
On any creator's public profile (/u/username), fans see a 💛 Tip button next to the Follow and Share buttons.
Fan clicks Tip (profile or World View) and selects support type.
For EUR tips, the fan chooses the amount the creator should receive.
Checkout applies platform gross-up: payer is charged base × 1.15.
For OLcoin support, sender enters how much the recipient should receive.
Wallet debit also follows gross-up: sender pays face × 1.15.
Fan can leave an optional message for the creator.
After a successful support action, it is recorded in SELL and can also appear in World View inbox.
Viewing Received Support
Go to the SELL section on the Orbital Hub.
Open the Tips tab in your creator dashboard.
See totals, count, messages, and timestamps for received support.
World View Inbox Acknowledge
When someone sends you EUR tip or OLcoin through World View, a pending inbox marker can appear on the sender node. Open it to acknowledge. This step confirms receipt in the social UI and does not create a second payout.
Tips for Creators
Mention your tip button in your social media bio or during live events.
Use your OwnLinker ID QR code to direct fans to your profile where the tip button is visible.
Tips are also tracked in the Analytics Dashboard as a separate revenue line.
For Fans — Do I Need an Account to Tip?
No. Tips can be sent without a OwnLinker account. You only need a valid credit or debit card to complete the Stripe checkout. If you are logged in, the tip is linked to your account automatically.
Support Limits
EUR tip range: €1 to €500 (base value to creator).
Payer checkout amount is base + 15% platform gross-up.
OLcoin wallet support follows the same gross-up model.
